The Story Behind the All the Fun of the Fair Collection
There’s something timeless about a day at the fair. The colours, the lights, the laughter filling the air. All the Fun of the Fair grew from that burst of nostalgia reimagined with Creative Monsoon’s signature love of joy and bright, happy colour.
But it also began with one very specific spark, 2026 is the Year of the Horse. And what could be more fun than celebrating that with a carousel twist? I started sketching cheerful little horses for a new wall poster and tea towel calendar… and the moment they began spinning together, a whole fairground world started to unfold.
What began as a handful of playful horses quickly galloped into a full collection of surface patterns, prints and homewares. A colourful celebration ready to welcome 2026 in the most joyful way.
From Sketchbook Scribble to Celebrate Ready Pattern
It all began as quick pencil doodles, horses mid prance, carousel designs, and early ideas for other artwork that could feature throughout a calendar. From there, the designs moved onto the computer where they came to life in full colour. Ferris wheel nights, helter skelter slides, candy stripes and fluttery bunting soon joined in, bringing the whole fairground to life.
